What is Easy 1 Up about?

Easy 1 Up makes it sound very easy to earn an extra $1,000 a month with their “done-for-you” system.

According to them, their purpose is to empower entrepreneurs and teach them strategies to surpass their competition.

They offer five training courses that are said to be making an impact for many people. Sounds cool?

Well, the truth is that the training they are offering is geared towards helping you promote Easy 1 Up. That’s right, this is one of those programs where eveyone needs to do massive recruiting to make money.

You will have to recruit other people into the program and get them to invest in the Easy 1 Up products in order for you to earn 100% commissions.

And then, your referrals will have to do the same thing as you and teach their referrals to do the same. It’s a never-ending cycle.

They don’t offer any tangible products or services and there are no retail sales, so the only people who are purchasing the training courses are members.

I mean, they are not selling the training courses to people outside the program so getting involved with the program is mandatory for people who are interested in learning from their training.

I have come across many programs like this one and most of them (not to say all of them) haven’t lasted for some reasons I will explain later.

How does Easy 1 Up work?

Easy 1 Up doesn’t work as easily as they want you to believe. Yes, it’s possible to make money with this program but it definitely takes work.

In order to start, you will have to buy the Elevation package, which provides some network marketing training to get you started and costs $25.

Easy 1 Up training packages

In fact, you can purchase any training package in order to get started, but you might want to start with Elevation depending on your budget.

As you can observe in the picture above, the most expensive package costs $1000.

Not only that, you will also have to pay an admin fee (10%-20% off each package’s cost), which goes to Easy 1 Up.

If you want to get involved with Easy 1 Up and make as much money as possible, the way you can save money is by purchasing the Vertex Pro package when you get started.

If you buy the most expensive package (Vertex Pro) for $1000, you will not have to pay for the other packages.

Unless other MLM programs that make it mandatory to purchase all the packages/levels you want to earn money from, Easy 1 Up doesn’t force you to buy all the packages which makes it a little bit different than the other MLM programs.

If you buy the cheapest package (Elevation) to get started, there’s no guarantee that you will make a 100% commission when your referrals buy one of the packages.

For example, if they get started with the Vertex package ($250) but you have only purchased Elevation, you will not earn the $250 commission. The commission will go up to the sponsor above you who’s at the Vertex level or higher.

Reverse 1 Up compensation plan

Let’s see how much money you can earn.

If you join at the Vertex Pro level ($1000 + $100 admin fee), you will make 100% commission on the package that your referral choses to get started with.

For example, if he/she joins at Vertex for $250 plus admin fee, you will earn $250 and will get paid immediately.

When you make your second sale, the 100% commission will go up to your sponsor instead of you.

After that, all the sales you make will be for you. You will earn 100% commissions.

When it comes to your direct referrals, you will earn 100% commission when they make their second sales.

Reverse 1 Up

Let’s see what it would happen in each case scenario:

  • Case 1 – Your sponsor joins at Vertex ($250), you join at Elevation Elite ($100), your first referral joins at Elevation ($25) and your second referral joins at Vertex Elite ($500).

Your sponsor will earn $100 when you join, but he/she will not earn $500 from your second referral. The $500 will go up to the next sponsor who’s at the Vertex Elite or Vertex Pro level.

You will earn $25 when your first referral joins at Elevation.

  • Case 2 – Your sponsor joins at Vertex Pro ($1000), you join at Vertex ($250), your first referral joins at Vertex Elite ($500) and your second referral joins at Vertex ($250).

Your sponsor will make $250 when you join, $500 when your first referral joins and $250 when your first referral joins.

In this case, you will not earn anything because your first referral is at a higher level than you.

  • Case 3 – Your sponsor joins at Elevation Elite ($100), you join at Vertex Pro ($1000), your first referral joins at Vertex Elite ($500) and your second referral joins at Vertex ($250).

Your sponsor will not earn anything because you and your second referral have joined at a higher level.

In this case, the $1000 you have paid will go up to the next sponsor who’s at the Vertex Pro level and your second referral’s fee will also go up to the next sponsor who’s at the Vertex level or higher.

When it comes to you, you will earn $500 from your first referral.

  • Case 4 – Your sponsor joins at Vertex Elite ($500), you join at Vertex Pro ($1000), your first referral joins at Vertex Pro ($1000) and your second referral joins at Vertex ($250).

The $1000 you pay will not be for your sponsor, it will go up to the next sponsor who’s at the Vertex Pro level.

Your sponsor will earn $250 from your second referral.

You will earn $1000 from your first referral.

  • Case 5 – Your sponsor joins at Elevation ($25), you join at Elevation Elite ($100), your first referral joins at Elevation ($25) and your second referral joins at Vertex ($250).

The $100 you pay will go up to the sponsor above your sponsor, who’s at the Elevation Elite level or higher.

Your sponsor will not earn anything because your second referral has joined at a higher level, so what your second referral has paid will go up to the next sponsor who’s at the Vertex level or higher.

You will earn $25 from your first referral.

There can be multiple different case scenarios but I believe these 5 I have explained are enough to understand the compensation plan.

Once you have received your referrals’ second sale, you will not earn any more from them unless their referrals join at a higher level than your referrals.

For example, if you join at Vertex Pro, your first referral joins at Vertex and your referral’s first referral joins at Vertex Elite, the Vertex Elite commission ($500) will not go to your first referral, it will go up to you because you are at a higher level.

It’s not as easy as it sounds

Getting leads and recruits is the hardest past of this business and very important to make it work, since no leads means no money to be made.

The methods they teach you to drive traffic to your affiliate sales page are not the best methods to build a long-term online business.

They basically tell you to promote your affiliate link all over the Internet like forums, chats, blogs, social networks… which is not good because they can ban you if you post your link too often.

They also teach you to do paid advertising, which is a very risky business because it requires a lot of trial and error to find out what works and what does not work, which means that you will need to invest hundreds if not thousands of dollars to find the people who are going to invest in the Easy 1 Up packages.

Another reason why this is a risky business is the fact that they do not offer refunds because the money you pay goes to the members, not the company.

In my opinion, it would be good if they offered refunds for the admin fees for the members who want to quit, since that’s the portion that the company gets everytime someone buys a package.

Is Easy1Up a scam?

Easy1Up is a cash gifting scheme because the money passes from one member to another.

The fact that there are no retail sales or tangible products is something to take into consideration because this is a trait that pyramid schemes, which are illegal, share.

So is Easy1Up a scam? Some people are calling this a scam because the business model they use is illegal and other companies that used this business model like MOBE or Digital Altitude got shut down by the FTC (Federal Trade Commission).

Other people do not consider Easy 1 Up to be a scam because they make it possible to make money.

In my case, there are some reasons why I decided not to get involved with Easy1Up which I’m about to explain.

The owner has been involved in other unsustainable businesses

I personally don’t like the fact that the owner, Peter Wolfing, only mentions his first name “Peter” on the Easy 1 Up website.

Why doesn’t he mention his lastname so that we can look for information about him?

I did some research and found out that he has created other cash gifting and MLM programs like Turbo Cycler, Pay Me Forward, Ultimate Cycler, Infinity 100 and National Wealth Center (the only one that’s still in business).

The fact that his programs haven’t lasted is a red flag because it means that Easy 1 Up might not be a good solution if you are looking to make money online for the long-term.

It’s a “done-for-you” system

Another reason why I don’t like Easy 1 Up is because it’s a done-for-you system.

I know that having most stuff done for you sounds attractive but there are some problems with done-for-you programs:

  • They don’t encourage creativity. Everyone involved with the program gets the same training and sells the same products.
  • They keep you dependent. You are relying on a single system to earn money, which means that the day the system shuts down you will be left with nothing.
  • You don’t have control over it. You do not own the system, it’s owned by Peter Wolfing instead. You are basically helping him build his business.
“All done for you!”

It’s not sustainable for the long-term

Easy 1 Up is unsustainable for the long-term because the only way money comes into the company is when members purchase the packages, which means that there’s always the need to recruit people into the scheme.

If they sold their packages to people who are not part of the company then it would be more sustainable.

Digital Altitude and MOBE, two companies that got shut down by the FTC this year, worked in a similar way.

They turned out to be pyramid schemes in disguise, and Easy 1 Up is not that different from them.

Legitimate MLM companies like Amway (been in business since 1959) are sustainable because their products are available for people who are not involved with the business opportunity.

In the case of Easy 1 Up, they are clearly giving more importance to the business opportunity than the products.

Not to mention that the products included in the packages are PLR (Private Label Rights) products, which means that they can be found online for a low price or even free.

For example, the “Whatsapp Marketing Made Easy” product from the Vertex Pro package can be purchased for only $7.99 here:

Vertex Pro list of products
WhatsApp Marketing Made Easy PLR product

There are 25 products included in the Vertex Pro package, so the whole package would have a value of $200 if each product cost $7.99.

So is it worth it to pay $1000 for something that costs way less than that? In my opinion, it is not. The packages are overpriced.

Create your own system instead

After everything that I have mentioned, I conclude that I don’t recommend Easy1Up even though the final decision is up to you.

Other done-for-you programs/products that I don’t recommend are the following:

The truth is that you don’t need to get involved in risky “done-for-you” businesses to make money online.

I have tried many ways to make a living online and have reached the conclusion that it’s better to build an online business a.k.a. create your own system. A business that depends on you.

The business model I use is newbie-friendly, low cost and has given me a way to make a consistent income month after month.

In fact, there are many people who are using this business model to make a living online.

It definitely takes time, commitment and effort to build your own business, but it’s worth it in the end.

My favorite business model will allow you to make money from a topic you are passionate about. Yes, you will not have to promote the same products as everyone else.

There are many things that I love about this business so I decided to create a FREE step-by-step guide where I explain how everything works:

In my free guide, you will discover what I do to make money online, how the business model works, why it works, what you need to build this business…

  1. Well done on this review. I’ve seen some other review sites that do a good job…but you took it to the next level.

Excellent work. By going into so much detail you convinced me that there is NOTHING here for me. Easy 1Up is not worth any more of my time.

I’v been curious about MLM but have yet to find one that looks really legit. Do you have an recommendations?

  2. Hi, Miren i went through your post and i must say i have learned important things about other online bussinesses just by reading your post.First of all their system is ready made,so you don”t create anything you just promote their system and only make money through that.I am not just repeating what you wrote i am just making sure i understand this suspicious systems.I am saying this because i was scammed 3 times by scams that used similar methods, you get left stunted and helpless and humilliated and the worst part is you don”t even know who to approach for help. That why i am saying that i have learned from your post,i think a lot of people who went through what i experienced will feel the same way after reading this post.
